21st November 2023 - Proud Stags Lead Teams Out In Rainbow Laces Fixture

Proud Stags were really pleased to lead the teams out onto the pitch again for this seasons rainbow laces fixture against newport county on saturday 18 november 2023.
This season, we were joined by 8 other Stags fans, made up of a mixture of Proud Stags members, allies and partners.
We were delighted to be joined by Steve Danby from the Stags Supporters’ Association, Emma Penlington, the club’s Her Game Too ambassador, Russell Morrell from the Amber and Blue podcast, and Proud Stags members Glyn Allsopp, TJ Smith, Emma Snell, Angie Danby and Natalie Toon.
Members led the teams to the halfway line, before heading to the centre circle for a pre-match photo with the captains and match officials (above).
Upon heading back to the stand, Stags’ supporters gave the participating members a resounding round of applause. Proud Stags’ co-chair Kieran and Terry commented:
“It was an absolute honour to lead the teams out. I am absolutely ecstatic that Proud Stags got a standing ovation off the pitch, a massive thank you to all the Stags fans for this, football is changing for the better!”
“Saturday was incredible. It’s always nervy walking the teams out, especially in front of an almost sold-out home end, but the highlight was the brilliant round of applause as we walked off the pitch, that was truly special”
