18th November 2023 – Proud Stags embark on an ambitious 2023 Rainbow Laces campaign
The 2023 Rainbow Laces campaign is going to live long in the memory for Proud Stags.
For anyone unsure, the Rainbow Laces campaign is ran by Stonewall and is the leading way to show support for LGBTQ+ inclusion in sport. Click HERE to read more about Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces Campaign.
Proud Stags were really pleased to have ran our own campaign in association with Mansfield Town FC, where we achieved a huge amount..
In the build up to the match, we launched a website and started the official membership campaign. Kieran interviewed Ollie Clarke in the week leading up to the match (you can hear that interview HERE!).
On the day, the club had rainbow corner flags, a rainbow captains armband for Aden Flint, rainbow laces in the dressing room for the players, a rainbow cake in the 1861 Suite and the attendance of 6,887 (?) was in association with Proud Stags. Proud Stags would like to place on record our gratitude and thanks to all staff at Mansfield Town Football Club for the support received during this period of time, and for embracing the ideas we had. We were delighted with the number of initiatives we were able to complete.
