Proud Stags is the officially recognised LGBTQ+ supporters’ group for Mansfield Town Football Club.

Founded in January 2022, the group is fairly new and still in its early stages of formation. We’re here to celebrate diversity and inclusion within football, specifically our beloved MTFC, drive positive change in attitudes and increase visibility for LGBTQ+ football fans.

Since formation, the group has sponsored a match against Colchester United in February 2022, attended the Nottingham Pride march in July 2022, celebrated Rainbow Laces vs Newport County in October 2022, and more recently joined a Regional Alliance (see the Regional Alliance part of the website to understand more).

Our biggest aim is to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for everyone at One Call Stadium or anywhere they follow the Stags.

This group is open to all Stags fans and anyone in Mansfield or the surrounding areas that support the LGBTQ+ community. Including any allies!

Jointly ran by Terry Adams (founder) and Kieran Halpin-Danby, the group has a really positive relationship with Mansfield Town FC and many other Stags’ supporters, especially the club’s official Supporters Group, the Stags Supporters’ Association and the ‘Amber and Blue’ supporters page on X (formerly Twitter). We have also partnered with the Her Game Too organisation and have a great relationship with Emma Penlington, the MTFC ambassador.
