25th October 2022 – Rainbow Laces fixture vs Newport County

Rainbow Laces is an initiative launched by LGBTQ+ charity Stonewall.  The initiative stands to raise awareness of the community in sport.  We were really pleased that Mansfield Town were able to celebrate this day with the fixture against Newport County on Tuesday 25th October 2022.

The club placed rainbow corner flags in each corner, with Stags’ captain Ollie Clarke wearing a Rainbow captains armband.  Rainbow laces were also available to players and you can see in this picture that the officials were wearing them, in support of the initiative.

Proud Stags’ co-chairs Terry Adams and Kieran Halpin-Danby walked the teams out onto the pitch with the Proud Stags flag on display.  We were then invited to the middle of the pitch to get a photo with the captains and match officials.
